July 2015
The Confirmation
students completed their final unit on the Apostle’s Creed with a session on
the Holy Spirit. After reading Bible
passages, discussing the Apostle’s Creed, and meditating on the Spirit, we went
to the Island at Milton State Park where the students spent time writing haiku
poetry about the Holy Spirit.
Haiku is a form of
Japanese poetry that consists of three lines, the first with five syllables,
the second with seven, and the third with five.

Children will learn to protect what they love. Connect youth to the Creation of God and
cultivate their appreciation for the power of the Holy Spirit to create new
life in them and all around them.
