"Crocodile Rock" for Blessing the Animals Sunday

CROCODILE ROCK (by Elton John, lyrics revised by Leah Schade)
Our praise band rocked out on this tune for our Youth Sunday/Blessing of the Animals.

Long ago when the earth was young
Eve and Adam had so much fun
Holding hands and skimming stones
Living in Eden in their garden home
But the biggest kick they ever got
Was doing a thing called the Crocodile Rock
While the animals were Rocking Round the Clock
They were hopping & bopping to the Crocodile Rock

Well Crocodile Rocking is something shocking
When your feet just can't keep still
They never knew them a better time
and I guess they never will
Mama mama, those Friday nights
When Eve she wore her fig leaves tight
And the Crocodile Rocking was out of sight

La lalalala la lalalala la lalalala la

But the years went by and the rock just died
They ate forbidden fruit and had to say goodbye
Sent away from Eden by the cherubim
Dreaming of the garden and that beautiful scene
But we’ll never lose the beat we've got
We’ll keep dancin’ to the Crocodile Rock
We remember as the years go past
The dance of the animals will always last

Well Crocodile Rocking is something shocking
When your feet just can't keep still
They never knew them a better time
and I guess they never will
Mama mama, those Friday nights
When Eve she wore her fig leaves tight
And the Crocodile Rocking was out of sight

La lalalala la lalalala la lalalala la

(REPEAT VERSE ONE AND CHORUS)
